Give Touch a Try in Bundy!

Queensland Touch Football (QTF) is excited to launch the inaugural Touch Football Showcase prior to Bundaberg Cup this Friday 3 February to kick off a weekend of touch football fun.

The beach activation, held at Nielsons Beach, Bargara from 3:30pm-5:00pm, aims to showcase Touch Football to the wider Bundaberg community and encourage locals to give touch a try. The free event is open to people of all ages and skill levels and will also feature touch football beach activities, thanks to the support of Surf Life Saving Queensland.

QTF CEO Greg Denny shared his excitement for the initiative that is designed to get more people involved in Touch Football.

“The beach showcase is an excellent addition to the Bundaberg Cup festivities. We are grateful for the support of the local region and proud to host this showcase for the wider community to have some fun and encourage locals to get involved in touch football.

“2023 will be our biggest year in the Bundaberg Cup history, the addition of the ‘come and try’ showcase will hopefully attract a new audience to continue to grow the sport and see even larger registration numbers in 2024”.

The Bundaberg Cup tournament will be held Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 February 2023 at the Greg Duncan Touch Fields.
